2009 Wine Dinner Series Kicks off with Passion-Infused Pairings
ORLANDO (Jan. 12, 2009) — February 14 is for lovers. Lovers of fine wines and cuisine, that is. This Valentine's Day, Orlando's award-winning Rosen Centre hotel kicks off its 2009 "Vine and Dine" Series with a very special event entitled "Decadent Pairings," a six-course feast of aphrodisiac-infused items paired to perfection with a selection of wines from the Trinchero Winery in Napa Valley, California.
The dinner begins in Rosen Centre's Quiet Bar at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Guests will sample the first wine selection from the Trinchero collection, then continue to the Everglades Restaurant dining room for their romantic Valentine's Day feast. Making the evening even more memorable, a representative from the Trinchero Winery will provide a special introduction of each wine served throughout the evening.
Each of the six courses includes ingredients that have long been considered aphrodisiacs by cultures around the world. The first course is a delicious Oysters Mignonette, followed by Asparagus and Prosciutto with Radicchio and Anchovy Dressing. The third course is a rich Poached Lobster with Vanilla Sauce, Baby Fennel and Chanterelles. A palate-cleansing course of Pomegranate Sorbet is next, followed by Grilled Filet Mignon with Chocolate Port Wine Sauce accompanied by Truffle Lyonnaisse Potatoes. The evening's fine cuisines are topped off with a sinful dessert course, a Decadent Chocolate Surprise.
"We're thrilled to kick off our 2009 Vine and Dine series, our third year, with this very special, very romantic Valentine's Day event," said Todd Frappier, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rosen Centre. "There's no telling what might happen when our guests enjoy six courses of foods known to be the most powerful aphrodisiacs in the world — oysters, lobster, vanilla, truffles, chanterelles, pomegranates, filet of beef, and of course, decadent chocolate and wine."
Cost of the Vine and Dine dinner is $149 per couple, plus tax and gratuity, and includes complimentary valet parking. Following their romantic dinner, patrons can retire to a luxurious guest room to enjoy Rosen Centre's Romance Package, which includes deluxe accommodations for one evening, breakfast buffet for two at Café Gauguin and a 25 percent discount valid at the Body and Sol Spa, which features pampering treatments such as an Espresso-infused Spa Pedicure or Aromatherapy Massage for the ultimate relaxation.
