Celebrate “Springtime in Paris” Right Here in Orlando with Rosen Centre’s Romantic Vine and Dine Event

2009 Wine Dinner Series Continues with Fine French Food and Wine Pairings Inspired by “The City of Light”

ORLANDO (April 8, 2009) — Flowers are in bloom. The sun is shining. Love is in the air. It’s “Springtime in Paris” and it’s taking place right here in Orlando. On Friday, April 17, Orlando’s award-winning Rosen Centre hotel continues its 2009 “Vine and Dine” Series with a very special “Springtime in Paris” event — a five-course feast of gourmet Parisian-inspired menu items paired to perfection with a selection of French wines.

The dinner begins in Rosen Centre’s Quiet Bar at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17.  Guests will sample the first wine selection, then continue to the Everglades Restaurant dining room for their romantic feast. Making the evening even more memorable, a representative will provide a special introduction of each wine served throughout the evening.

Each of the five courses includes ingredients that are typically associated with fine French cuisine. The first course of the evening is a Niçoise Salad blending the fresh flavors of tomato, haricots vert, quail egg, seared tuna and Minus 8 Vinaigrette. Next comes a Lemon Sole, served with saffron rice and sweet peas in a Morel Vin Blanc. After the refreshing Orange Blossom Sorbet cleanses the palate, a main course of Spring Lamb Chops follows, served with lavender honey baby vegetables with a Dijon mustard sauce. For dessert, a light but sinful dish of Sauterne Poached Pears tantalizes the senses with a quenelle of hazelnut mascarpone mousse drizzled with chocolate.

“French wine and French cuisine are arguably the finest in the world but thanks to our Vine and Dine event, you don’t have to travel far to enjoy these gourmet tastes,” said Todd Frappier, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rosen Centre. “With all the atmosphere, ambiance and romance Rosen Centre creates, patrons will feel like they’re in the heart of Paris without ever leaving the hotel.”

Cost of the Vine and Dine dinner is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and includes complimentary valet parking Space is limited.  For reservations, call 407 996-8560. For more information, visit www.evergladesrestaurant.com or www.rosencentre.com.
