ORLANDO (March 3, 2010) — Rosen Centre is celebrating all of the rich and colorful flavors of Mardi Gras and New Orleans—without the crowds and pandemonium. On Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m., the award-winning Orlando hotel presents part two of its 2010 “Vine and Dine” wine pairing series — “Mardi Gras and Vine.”
The intimate, five-course dining event at Rosen Centre’s Everglades Restaurant will pair traditional New Orleans, Cajun and Creole-inspired dishes with a variety of French wines, while Zydeco music, raffles and of course, plenty of beads, create a festive yet upscale Mardi Gras atmosphere for no more than 40 guests. The menu includes a succulent first course of Louisiana Oysters with Absinthe Mignonette on Bloody Mary Granita, garnished with Celery Leaves, followed by a second course of Crawfish Étouffée garnished by Citrus Crackers. A refreshing Bourbon Street Hurricane Sorbet, garnished with a Candied Orange Zest provides the perfect Intermezzo before the delicious entrée of Blackened Beef Filet complemented by a Lobster Po’boy, Andouille Sausage Spoon Bread, and Potato Herb Skewer. For dessert, a traditional Bananas Foster will be served with Beignet and Chicory Coffee.

The five-part 2010 Vine and Dine series makes the most of fresh, seasonal ingredients and features selections from various wineries that are specifically chosen to complement the cuisine.
