Halloween isn’t just for kids.

Orlando has plenty of tricks and treats for adults up its sleeve for the spookiest holiday of the year.

A group of adults in Halloween costumes sit around a table as a man pours Champagne.

If you’re looking for a less family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween this year, never fear. There are a variety of haunting events to look forward to in 2025.

Here is our rundown of unique ways to experience Halloween for adults in Orlando.

Key Takeaways

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights

Three adults cling to each other as a monster emerges from the shadows on the streets of Universal Studios Florida in the dark.

When it comes to a good scare, there is nothing more quintessentially Halloween than a haunted house.

Orlando is home to one of the world’s biggest haunted house events: Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN).

This scream-worthy sensation features ten sinister haunted houses, terrifying scare zones, live entertainment, and plenty of themed food and merchandise.

HHN is a separately ticketed after-hours event held in Universal Studios Florida. In 2025, you can experience the horror for yourself on select nights from Aug. 29 through Nov. 2.

While the nature of the event is geared towards older individuals, there is no age limit. It’s simply “not recommended for children under the age of 13.”

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando

An out-of-focus figure in red light ominously presses their hands against a glass pane.

Five years ago, SeaWorld Orlando decided to add to Orlando’s theme park scream scene.

Their bone-chilling Howl-O-Scream event features five all-new haunted houses with immersive horror environments designed to shock and scare.

Six shadowy scare zones await brave guests, with monsters and demons lurking around every corner.

Howl-O-Scream also has five themed bars with “eerie cocktails and chilling vibes,” exciting live shows and DJ dance parties, and other scary surprises waiting to be revealed.

The event runs from Sept. 5 through Nov. 1 on select evenings, and separate tickets are required to attend.

Blood, gore, and intense adult themes make Howl-O-Scream more appropriate for guests over 18, but there is no age limit restricting younger guests from participating.

A Petrified Forest

A disturbing face and glowing eyes of a monster peers out from behind the trunk of a tree in darkness.

Take your scary Halloween experience out of the theme parks and into the heart of a dark and haunted forest.

A Petrified Forest is a collection of three brand-new outdoor scare trails in Altamonte Springs.

Each trail features a variety of horrifying monsters lurking amidst the trees in darkness, stalking their prey.

Don’t worry, you can’t be touched – unless you attend the special Total Eclipse and BloodMoon nights of the event, which are designed to provide extra immersive terrors.

Tickets for the event include access to all three scare trails, as well as an entry yard filled with attractions like food trucks, local vendors, laser tag, and more.

A Petrified Forest considers itself “rated PG-13,” but younger audiences are permitted. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Cocktails & Screams

Cocktails & Screams is an Orlando bar that celebrates Halloween year-round.

Here, you can enjoy spooky vibes, wicked cocktails, and outrageous decor whenever you feel like celebrating.

The bar also features entertainment like pirate karaoke, live music, creepy cabaret acts, and horror-themed hangouts.

Cocktails & Screams is a 21+ establishment. Costumes are encouraged all year long.

Nosferatu at the Ren

Gray hands with blood red long nails reach out from the darkness.

Vampires and vampire lovers are called to convene at the Ren Theatre for the return of Nosferatu.

This immersive adult vampire experience is spooky, scary, and sexy, offering a totally unique Halloween attraction.

As a patron, you’ll wander through uniquely designed rooms where you’ll find sultry performance artists protecting their hunting grounds from wandering mortals.

On select nights, you can mingle with the undead at V-Bar, sipping specialty cocktails amidst dancers and incredible drag performances.

13 Films of Halloween at Enzian

A gnarled monster hand emerges from a popcorn box with a creepy jack-o-lantern face.

If horror films and creepy cult classics are your thing, Enzian’s 13 Films of Halloween series should be on your Halloween to-do list.

Enzian is an independent movie theatre with casual vibes, a full menu of food delivered right to your seat, and a beautiful outdoor bar serving up cleverly crafted cocktails.

Every October, they curate a list of Halloween movies to celebrate spooky season, many of which are R-rated or feature late-night showings.

Accompanying the frightful film festivities are specialty Halloween cocktails perfect to accompany your movie of choice.
