Patricia Letakis, Senior Editor/TASTES Editor, FLORIDA TRAVEL & LIFE
“I loved his rich, baked St. André triple cream Brie en croûte paired with a Caposaldo prosecco and his Maytag blue cheese-encrusted filet of beef served with a sangiovese-driven Torcalvano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany. Yet it was his butternut squash and goat cheese ravioli, stuffed with Spanish Drunken Goat cheese and served in a pool of sage-and-hazelnut brown-butter sauce, that had the diners at my table applauding and requesting the dish be added permanently to the regular menu.”

S. Joseph
“What struck me on a visit last year was the high caliber of offerings from the kitchen and the air of camaraderie in the dining room…. It makes for an intimate and often jolly affair, as guests feel free to share comments on dishes designed by chef Fred Vlachos and wines carefully chosen to highlight each course.”

If you were wondering what ever happened to Scott Joseph, former Orlando Sentinel food critic and one of the area’s No. 1 foodies, Joseph is alive and well, still writing about food and serving as a restaurant consultant as well.

Joseph was at the Everglades Restaurant at the Rosen Centre last week hosting his own dinner, the Scott Joseph Supper Club at a delicious gathering called “An Evening with Harris Rosen.” Read Article

Very good. Good food, excellent service and great wine.

The best thing we had this evening food or beverage wise were the Parducci Family Wines. It is great that these wines are sustainable and/or organic! Go Green!

This event was very good-as always.

The event was very nice, tasteful, calm and elegant. Food was good. I enjoyed the port paired with the dessert the best. Priscilla is wonderful! I liked Beverly, our server, very much; she is good.

This event was the perfect end to a perfect week. My gratitude and appreciation to all Rosen Centre Staff.

Mike was great! We truly enjoyed our wine and food. Thank you for a wonderful time!

The Buffalo dish and the Scallop dish were fantastic! Mike did a great job. The Paul Dolan Organic Cabernet was one of my favorites.

I enjoyed the presentation by both staff and hostess; I thought the explanation of each wine was very thorough and informative. My favorite dish by far was the scallops! I loved the smoky flavor and earthiness of their taste. My favorite pairing by far was the Cabernet and Buffalo combination. I enjoyed each pairing with each course and thought that the flavor combinations were paired to perfection.
