Halloween Horror Nights 2022 at Universal Orlando

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando

Terror reigns again on select nights from September 2 to October 31, 2022, as Universal Orlando hosts its annual Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) event. Here’s what we know so far about HHN 2022.

2022 HHN Haunted Houses

The main draw at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights are its haunted houses. In these themed attractions, the best horror franchises are brought to life for brave guests to navigate — if they dare. Universal will release its 10 haunted house themes in the weeks leading up to the event. The park has announced these 10 Halloween Horror Nights houses:

  • Universal Monsters: Legends Collide

HHN 31’s first announced house brings together three classic Universal horror villains — The Wolf Man, Dracula, and The Mummy — for the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history.

  • Halloween

This haunted house transports you back to 1978, putting you face-to-face with one of the big screen’s original slashers, Michael Myers. Based on the original Halloween, the house walks you through Myers’ first kill, which began his reign of terror.

  • The Horrors of Blumhouse

Two terrors from popular Blumhouse Productions films team up to put guests right in the heart of horror. The Grabber from The Black Phone will chase guests through a funhouse as they try to escape his grasp. Just when guests think they’re safe, they’ll need to outrun The Butcher from the film, Freaky.

  • The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare

Brave the blinding lights and enter this haunted house, inspired by the Weeknd’s 2020 album, After Hours. The singer’s synthpop-tinged R&B hits will play as you try to outrun him and his band of bandaged cronies.

  • Spirits of the Coven

Party it up at a bewitching 1920s speakeasy, but watch out for the coven of witches who run the gin joint. They’re brewing up something spooky in their cauldron, and just might make you their secret ingredient.

  • Bugs: Eaten Alive

The creepie crawlies are in full force at this Halloween Horror Nights house, based upon a futuristic 1950s home. Be sure to bring your bug spray.

  • Fiesta de Chupacabras

You’ve arrived in a quaint Latin American village just in time for their annual chupacabra festival. Unfortunately, a chupacabra has just arrived, too, and is out for tourist blood.

  • Hellblock Horror

Get ready for an epic prisonbreak adventure. In this Halloween Horror Nights house, you’ll find yourself running from a monstrous crew of criminals.

  • Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake

You’ve found yourself in a coastal New England town with whose wicked wharf houses a slew of zombie fishermen. Escape them before they get you hook, line, and sinker.

  • Descendants of Destruction

This post-apocalyptic haunted house takes you through a subway station full of mischievously monstrous mutants. Get out before your Halloween Horror Nights goes off the rails.

Other Spooky Attractions at Halloween Horror Nights

The haunted houses aren’t the only frights at Halloween Horror Nights.

Parts of the park are rethemed into scare zones, filled with actors ready to give guests a thrill. If you need a breather, sit down and relax at one of the event’s live shows. You can also enjoy themed food and drink while you wait to ride a classic Universal roller coaster or other attractions after-hours.
